A140 Installation and
positioning considerations. In general the sounders should be mounted horizontally 10 to 15 metres above the ground, with due consideration for their location; generally the highest point on the site to be covered, although not so high so as to avoid the sound travelling over the top of the area. A general guide: determine the height of any obstruction within 50 metres and keep the sounder at least 2 metres higher than this for the best sound coverage - ideally the source to target should be aimed at or in 'line of sight'. |
